I underestimated the time I would have while at PhuketFit to write this blog or rather, I should say that it was not enough of a priority. I was at PF from October 21-November 19, 2016.

To pick up from my first post, I did end up getting a couple of migraines while on the five day detox even though I was drinking around 2-3L of water per day. During the detox, the body is only getting in 800-1000 Kcal, so when I would attend fitness classes during detox, I could feel all the fuel/energy burn up. If and when I return to PF, I will request to skip the detox portion of the program.
Since I would be focused on working out and eating right for the whole month, I decided that I would use Sundays as my day off and do excursions on those days. Let's face it, I went to Phuket partially to have a vacation too. On the very bright side, PF has 3 beaches within walking distance but also offers a daily shuttle at Noon to Nai Harn Beach, which has beautiful white sand.
Saturday, October 29, 2016: I took the PF shuttle to Nai Harn beach. And since it was during lunchtime, the on site restaurant at PF that took care of all our meals also offered "Take Away" service. That's what non-Americans call food "to go" as I learned the Brits, Scots, Aussies, Kiwis, etc. used this same term for "to go" food. So I enjoyed my healthy, calorie counted lunch, at the Beach. It was a warm day but luckily, there are plenty of shady umbrellas and mats for rent.
Sunday, October 30, 2016: A group of PF'ers ended up taking an excursion to Banana Beach. http://www.bananabeachkohhey.com/ It was so picturesque and gorgeous. The water was so clear, that we could see lots of blue/yellow fish swimming around us as we chatted in the water. (I wish I had a waterproof Go Pro just to capture how incredible it was.) After an hour at Koh Hey, the tour took us to a different part of the island to snorkel. I easily get sea sick on boats, but this was a first... I ended up getting sea sick in the ocean while I was snorkeling... and this was not my first time snorkeling. Although I can swim, I was not a strong enough swimmer to venture out too far from the boat like my new Aussie friends. So I didn't get to see amazing coral or marine life in the area where I was. But it was still awesome to see the marine life that was there and the depth of the ocean. There is something so incredible about the ocean and how it makes me feel. I love nature, being adventurous and active. I met some amazing new friends from Australia (Aussies) and New Zealand (Kiwis). We were having such a great time hanging out that we decided to try this legendary local pizza made by a couple of Italian transplants for dinner. It was worth all the calories - some of the best pizza I've ever had. Some of the other PF'ers (Brits and Scots) joined us for dinner. https://www.facebook.com/agliamici.phuket/
(And my ex is in the pizza business.)
[I really like live edge tables and furniture, so that explains the random table pic.]
